Who takes online classes?

Distance learning may be the right choice for you if you are in one of these categories:

Because our program is highly flexible, you can complete your degree whenever and wherever you have access to the Internet. You can study early in the morning, late at night and on the weekend. You can connect with your teachers, classmates and prospective employers wherever you are.

Is it difficult?

Taking classes online is no harder and no easier than attending a traditional class. You need to be organized, meet the requirements of the class and submit assignments on time ��� as you would in any traditional classroom setting. Online learning is just different ��� it���s neither harder nor easier.

What assistance is available?

Our strong support system for online learners helps students master the technology, participate in class discussions and take advantage of all class="footerlinks" the benefits of this type of instruction. Available support includes a help desk, tutorials and an extensive Web-based library. We require students to complete an online orientation sessions that prepares them to use Moodle, our course delivery system. We provide all the help needed to ensure that each online learning experience is successful.

Do I lose financial aid?

No, in fact all sources of financial aid now accept online learning including Veterans Benefits. Students enrolled in online programs are eligible for all scholarships available to qualified on-campus students. In addition, our advisors can steer you toward external sources of financial assistance, such as military benefits and workforce initiative act WIA funds.

What programs are available at GeorgiaCC?

We currently have three main programs:

  • Heavy Equipment Operations Degree (hybrid)
  • Heavy Equipment Operations, Level 1 (resident training)
  • Heavy Equipment Operations, Level 2 (resident training)
  • Mobile Crane (resident training)
