Some Common Errors & Myths
Below are some common errors made throughout the "finding the money" process. Be sure not to make them yourself.
Error #1. It costs too much to go to school so therefore I will not attend.
- Wrong. School and training is an investment in yourself. If you don't have a belief in yourself and your future earning power. In fact, education and training is probably the best investment you can make with regards to getting a return on your money.
Error #2. Trying it alone ��� having a problem finding the money for your tuition and never talking to the finance office.
- Your finance officer helps students every day and can assist you in finding tuition payment methods that are affordable and sometimes FREE.
Error #3. Viewing loans as the only way to pay for school.
- There are many different ways to pay for school other than loans. In fact, loans would be the last resort in your search for tuition payment methods. The best advice is to call the GeorgiaCC finance office at 770-918-2577 and request to speak to the "fiinance " office and request assistance with tuition finance methods.
Myth #1. The school is a cash only school.
Wrong, there are many methods of paying your tuition other than cash. Just look at the chart and determine which you may be eligilble for.
Myth #3. My chance of being admitted is much greater if I pay cash..
Wrong, many students attend school with tuition assistance as provided by third parties.
