Heavy Equipment Operations Associates Degree
The Heavy Equipment Operations Associates Degree program offered at GeorgiaCC is designed to give graduates the skills and knowledge necessary to enter the field as entry level equipment operators with a chance of rapid acceleration into management. The primary objective is to provide entry level skills; however, the secondary objective is to provide a degree for advancement opportunities. Ideally, graduates should expect to work for 12-18 months as an equipment operator in the field and then begin to pursue management opportunities within the company or outside the company.
Practical construction experience is very important for entering this occupation, whether earned through an internship, a cooperative education program, a job in the construction trades, or another job in the industry.
