Industry Advisory Board

Purpose

The main purpose of the GeorgiaCC Industry Advisory Board (IAB) is to strengthen the School's education program(s) by making recommendations for program improvement and providing advice to assist in providing the most up-to-date curriculum content, appropriate applications of industry technologies, and the implementation of new teaching strategies.

Vital Link

IAB members are a vital link between the School's education program and the heavy equipment and construction industry. IAB members representing construction industry, training, education, legal, and the general public bring a unique perspective to School's training programs. IAB members provide a viewpoint which is invaluable to the School's ability to deliver a quality program.

IAB members serve in an advisory capacity only.

IAB members do not have administrative, governing, or fiscal authority or responsibility. Nevertheless, their work is important to the effective operation of the School's educational programs.

Advisors Role

1. Provide advice on establishment and maintenance of a realistic education program
2. Provide advice about curricula content, training techniques and equipment
3. Assist in the preparation and selection of course materials
4. Inform school personnel of changes in the labor market
5. Recommend changes in industry technologies
6. Encourage cooperation and a better understanding of career education programs among employers, students and the general public
7. Recommend resource personnel, guest speakers and instructors for technology education programs

Managing partner Gregory J. Morris is one of the most experienced probate and estate planning attorneys in Nevada. He has earned an AV rating, the highest possible ranking, from the Martindale-Hubbell�� Law Directory and is also a member of "The Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers���" for 2008. He���s also received the "Five Star Wealth Manager Best in Client Satisfaction" in November 2007. His peers voted him Nevada "Super Lawyer" in the probate practice area in 2002.

Gregory has lectured extensively before public, private, and professional groups on probate and estate planning topics. In fact, the State Bar of Nevada has invited him to instruct other bar members on advanced estate planning and business succession planning topics numerous times.
